Honored to be a part of this custom home build project. We started by uncovering our clients desire to feel like they were walking into a metropolitan high end hotel on vacation whenever they came home. We kept things bold, modern, and sleek, and asked ourselves at every turn, is this “metropolitan hotel?”
We were thrilled to work with SmithBuiltVA on everything cabinets, and they came up with an amazing idea: what if you never had to put dishes away? Our clients love symmetry anyway, so why not put in 2 dishwashers? And so, we did! A delicious marble covers the counters and walls with custom curves around windows and the vent hood. The theme of skinny black lines runs throughout, starting with the oversized windows, then the light fixtures, and finally, the custom metal ladder shelves in the bar area.
We chose large scale, solid color body tiles for all the bathrooms, and paired it with natural wood finishes for the vanities, and whimsical marble stone tops. We kept the colors neutral and crisp, living in the family of taupes, metals, marbles, and glass.
